Embroidered refashion

Not strictly Handmade, but more hand embellished. (Check out other creative posts on Wendy's Handmade Monday.)  I got this tunic at a car boot a couple of weeks ago. I needed to brighten it up - so I replaced the buttons with something brighter and used a chain stitch to add a little more colour to the neck and hem.

  1. I've got lots of clothes that I don't wear any more, I was thinking of getting rid but I think I'll have a sort out and see what I can alter or update. I'm off to check out some of your other 'altered clothing'

Thank you for sharing your ideas

  3. I love buying second hand clothes and giving them a face lift. This is great work. The items is pretty cool anyways, but you've really breathed some life into this tunic. Love it! Well done!

  7. Thank you all for the lovely comments. I've really caught the recycling bug. I realised as I walked around Camden Market on Sunday that I was wearing three Items that were second hand. one of them I'd refashioned.
